Molly Ringwald is an American actress, dancer and singer who was born to Adele Edith and Robert Scott Ringwald. Her mother was a housewife and chef while her father was a blind jazz pianist. She has an elder sister named Beth Ringwald and an elder brother named Kelly. Her fluency in the French language comes from the fact that she studied at the Lycee Francaise School in Los Angeles, lived and worked in France for a few years and was married to a Frenchman. She was on the cover of Time Magazine in 2006. Molly is currently married to writer and book editor Panio Gianopoulos since 2007. The couple has a daughter named Matilda Ereni. Earlier she was married to a French writer Valery Lameignere from July 1999 to 2002.
Molly started her acting career at the age of five with the role of Dormouse in a stage production of Alice in Wonderland.
