Daren Kagasoff is an American actor of Russian descent. His father is a wholesale dealer of diamonds and his mother is a designer. He is the second child amongst the three children of his parents. His elder brother is called Justin and his younger sister is name Natalie. He studied at the Montclair College Prep in Panorama City, CA and later attended the San Francisco State University. It was here that he decided that his heart was in acting and so he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
Once in Los Angeles, Daren got to play the lead role in a play produced by Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center. The play was called subUrbia and was based on a movie by the same name. However the play did not do well and received appalling comments. As a result Daren decided to take acting lessons. In his fifth audition he was selected for the role of Ricky Underwood on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

He lives with his foster parents as he was sexually abused by his father when he was a child. He is addicted to sex and is under treatment. He has an affair with Adrian and Grace while at the same time he has one night stand with Amy and ends up impregnating her.
